Using the first HeadONE (tilt) for Point Tracking while using the second HeadONE (pan) for turntable rotation.
Expected Release: August 2025
Until this update, our HeadONE product, when used in a dual setup, was only capable of controlling a camera in pan and tilt configurations. We are now introducing a new mode that allows one of the HeadONE units in a dual setup to control camera tilt, while the other can be used for turntable motion.
With this new mode, you’ll be able to perform flawless point tracking with one HeadONE, while simultaneously rotating a product on a turntable platform using the other. This development opens up yet another exciting opportunity for creating truly unique product shots.
Path and Point Accuracy Improvements for DollyPLUS
Expected Release: August 2025
We’re developing an important update to enhance the path and point accuracy of DollyPLUS, especially addressing a subtle inconsistency observed in real-world usage.
Users operating DollyPLUS in Point Tracking Mode may have noticed something impressive: when the DollyPLUS is manually pushed while a point is active, it continues tracking the point with remarkable precision—even over long distances. This is possible thanks to DollyPLUS’s ability to read its position from the movement of its wheels, which provides highly reliable data without external tracking systems.
However, when DollyPLUS moves autonomously, users may observe slightly more deviation in both the programmed path and the point’s position within the frame—especially after several back-and-forth motions. Despite the excellent hardware-level tracking performance, this discrepancy suggests an opportunity for software-level optimization.
To address this, we are currently working on an algorithmic enhancement that enables DollyPLUS to continue using its ground-based positional awareness (wheel feedback) not only when moved by hand, but also during autonomous movement. This will allow the system to constantly correct its route based on real-time positional feedback from the wheels—just like it does in manual mode.
Once this improvement is released, DollyPLUS will achieve significantly better path accuracy without the need for any recalibration, and point tracking will be noticeably more stable, minimizing any potential drift even during extended movement sequences.
This enhancement will bring DollyPLUS even closer to the ideal of effortless, precise motion control that users expect across the edelkrone ecosystem.led descriptions here.
A New Way to Teach Positions to DollyPLUS
Expected Release: September 2025
We’re working on a major update for DollyPLUS that will radically simplify the programming experience, an area that previously led to confusing results for users. Until now, it wasn’t possible to program movement between positions by physically moving DollyPLUS. Instead, when the user pushed the DollyPLUS manually, it would shift the entire programmed path and its positions to a new location, rather than registering a new position.
This behavior was inconsistent with the experience across other edelkrone products. For example, with most other devices, when you move them by hand, you can directly save that position. In contrast, DollyPLUS only allowed positions to be taught via the joystick control in the app.
We are now developing a software update that changes this completely. With the new feature, you’ll be able to push DollyPLUS manually to a new location, then save that exact spot as a position directly from the app.
This will make motion programming not only significantly faster but also fully aligned with the intuitive workflow users are familiar with across the rest of the edelkrone ecosystem.
Controller-Free Setup & Operation
Expected Release: June 2025 (delayed to September 2025)
We’ve been working for a long time on a development that makes it possible to use our products for simple setups without needing a controller device. This idea emerged while finalizing the Tap to Move feature on SliderONE.
Instead of limiting this feature to just SliderONE, we are developing a controller-free setup and motion triggering approach that will work across the entire edelkrone ecosystem—and we can’t wait to share it with you.
You’ll be able to use this feature in both Keypose and Point Track modes, without needing a controller—or even a button. Together, we’re about to set a new record in simplicity for the motion control programming experience.
Flow (Sequencer v2)
Expected Release: June 2025 (delayed to September 2025)
Flow will be a new development that allows you to program virtually any camera movement you want, with an unprecedented level of ease.
Just like setting up an animation, you will be able to set the key positions of your camera motion in a sequenced the edelkrone system will automatically fill in the transitions between the points you’ve programmed, creating a smooth body movement, while the head will remain locked onto the points you’ve set.
Especially with 4-axis or more advanced systems, Flow will open the door to an extraordinary new level of visuals.
